Tom and I went to these two places after learning about it on instagram. And for multiple nights, it became our dinner or fourth meal while we were there. Let me introduce to you…
Standing Sushi
Nigiri price ranges from $1.50-$7, with $7 being the toro sushi. Amazing.
If you couldn’t tell, we couldn’t get enough of the Negitoro. TAKE NOTE: this item is shown on a placard on the table, not on the menu. So make sure to look or just ask. Coming in at only $1.50 per order, we ordered five orders of this the first time we came in cause it was just that damn good. Guaranteed you will have at least 2.
By the end of the trip, Tom and I were coming back here and ordering countless orders of the negitoro and yaki-salmon mayo. There’s multiple locations including Shibuya and Shinjuku, so no excuse that you can’t make it.
Abura Soba
Chewy and firm, the noodles are good enough even on its own. Slurp, slurp, slurp. Make sure to mix evenly and sop up all that delicious spicy sauce. Don’t want to leave any of that magic sauce behind.
We frequented the Shinjuku location (not far from Omoide Yokocho street where all the yakitori and drinking goes on so perfect for round 2 of late night munchies) but there are multiple locations. You buy the meal via the ticket vending machine, wait to be seated, and then hand your ticket to the check. Don’t forget to add the egg!
Now go to these two places and tell me that these places aren’t good.
